About Boulevard Haussmann

The finest of the many Boulevards of Paris this grand tree lined avenue is named after Baron Haussmann himself who oversaw the construction of the Boulevards of Paris as part of the modernization ordered by Emperor Napoleon III.

Today the Road is best know for its grand shopping, including the two greatest Department Stores on earth, Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.  Often also visited for the Museum and the Opera it is a fine street to browse, to shop, to drink and to eat and always of course watch the fashionable people of Paris walk past!
