About Boulevard Haussmann

The finest of the many Boulevards of Paris this grand tree lined avenue is named after Baron Haussmann himself who oversaw the construction of the Boulevards of Paris as part of the modernization ordered by Emperor Napoleon III.

Today the Road is best know for its grand shopping, including the two greatest Department Stores on earth, Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.  Often also visited for the Museum and the Opera it is a fine street to browse, to shop, to drink and to eat and always of course watch the fashionable people of Paris walk past!

Incredibly to us there was never a website dedicated to this grand avenue and so in the bold traditions of the internet we have decided to create him.  So this is intended to be a FastFacts guide to just the essential information needed to enjoy the delights of Boulevard Haussmann, in Paris!

Do contact us if you have any thoughts on other things that we should explain or discuss!

This is a WL Media FastFacts guide.

While often visited for the view the visitor should not forget that The Boulevard encompasses a wide range of shopping and dining options, from the casual to the sophisticated.  Within the Haussmann area are examples of many of Paris's most authentic and distinctive styles, as well as international choices to fit all palates and budgets.
